  • Your tendencies and tics as a writer, and how to work with them

  • Ways to improve your writing on a sentence or line level

  • What to focus on when revising this draft

  • Next steps for the project including:

    • How to finish this draft

    • Getting/incorporating feedback for future drafts

    • Timelines and chapter goals for novels

    • How to know when a project is done

    • Where to submit your writing

My approach draws from my years as a freelance editor, decades as a writer, and my mindfulness meditation studies. A creative project is like any new practice — it takes dedication, discipline, and positive reinforcement. Support doesn’t end with me. I’m eager to introduce anyone I’m advising to my literary contacts, and I encourage them to form their own writing groups and engage with the writing community.

Testimonials

  • Minimum commitment: 1 session/per month for 3 consecutive months

  • 1 hour sessions conducted via video or voice call

  • $125 per session, includes 5,000 words of prose reading or three poems, packages available

  • Payment via Venmo, Zelle, RIB, or check
